How it Began

Gerald Teaster started PEHG Productions, a Southwest Virginia based film production company. Now dissolved, it was premised on the creation of films inspired by stories taking place within the Appalachian community. Tired of films requiring a drastically high budget, PEHG set off with the mission to create award-winning short films within the independent landscape with a low budget. PEHG strived to do more with less, while not sacrificing quality!

PEHG Productions

“PEHG Productions was centered around family and a close network of filmmakers here in Southwest Virginia. PEHG contains the first letters of the first names of our immediate family members.”
