Gerald Teaster is a highly acclaimed screenwriter based in Blacksburg, VA, known for his exceptional storytelling prowess across various formats. Beginning with his mastery of short screenplays, Teaster secured top honors at prestigious events such as the New York City Independent Film Festival and the Portland Oregon Short Screenplay Contest.

Teaster continued to captivate audiences and critics alike. His debut feature, “The Caretaker,” garnered widespread acclaim, earning him the coveted “Gold Winner” title at the 2019 International Independent Film Awards, along with several other accolades. 

Similarly, his teleplay “Connie” earned recognition as the “Best TV Script” at the Hollywood Just 4 Shorts Film and Screenplay Competition, further solidifying his reputation as a talented writer.

Teaster’s success continued with his short screenplay “Spaghetti Western,” which not only received seven awards at the Cowpokes Int’l Film Festival but also clinched “Best Western” at the 2021 Southern Shorts Awards and secured a spot at the Richmond International Film Festival.
